The main objectives of the project include: Establish a 10 year Information Technology Roadmap for EVNNPT, focusing on development of enterprise management applications and the transmission grid management and operation system for approaching a smart, comprehensive and integrated information technology system; Building capacity for the managers and technical staff of EVNNPT and its subsidiaries, transfering and sharing technologies, developing and deploying the future Smart Grid models in EVNNPT; Applying and deploying the advanced technologies on Smart Grid in order to modernize the transmission grid management system, increase the efficiency of transmission grid and reduce power loss.

The implementation of project will be a great success for EVNNPT in cooperation with USTDA, in particular and with the United States, in general. It is remarkable that since the establishment of EVNNPT in 2008, this is the second cooperation project funded to EVNNPT by USTDA. It will mark a close and effective cooperation relationship between EVNNPT and USTDA over the last years, which will be a basis for an expected long-term, effective and sustainable cooperation relationship between the two parties.
