Mr. Hidehiko Yukawa – Director of
International Cooperation and Business and colleagues, representatives of Power
System Department warmly received EVNNPT
delegation.
The MoU signing ceremony was
organized at KEPCO headquarters, witnessed by representatives of both sides. The
signed MoU aims to maintain and strengthen cooperation framework of the 2 sides
in 3 subsequent years on the basis of quality, mutual support and benefits in
some main aspects: (i) power transmission; (ii) power quality and power system
operation; (iii) human resources development; (iv) quality management in many
ways such as information exchange, co-chair of workshops, meetings,
consultation among experts and engineers, etc…
After the ceremony, two sides have
reviewed the gained achievements in cooperation since the 1st signed MoU
(November 2012).
EVNNPT’s President and CEO Vu Ngoc Minh highly appreciated the
cooperation in training, with 4 training courses organized in Vietnam and 2
training courses organized in Japan. He revealed that the training on
modernization of power transmission grid organized by KEPCO has been useful for
participants. Besides, the workshops of similar topic are good
opportunities for 2 sides to learn and share experiences in operation and
development of power transmission grid of both sides.
Aiming at modernization of
substations, step by step application of unmanned substations, CEO Vu Ngoc Minh
had a detail discussion with KEPCO on the use of general or specific softwares
in investment of unmanned substations and controll centres. Especially, he
emphasized and paid attention to the communication system, network security of
substations and control centres.
Besides, leaders of both sides
mentioned how the construction quality affects the reliability of power
transmission grid and discussed how to increase construction quality, then
increase quality of power transmission grid in all aspects.
Two sides recognized the initial
cooperation results and agreed that a closer cooperation should be created,
with the main solutions:
Firstly, to share knowledge and
practical experiences in unmanned substations, on which KEPCO have many
experiences including criteria on equipment and design to support EVNNPT in investing in and constructing
high-quality substations.
To guide different departments to
have a closer cooperation, provide quicker response and information exchange, timely
settle problems so that the cooperation between 2 sides will be more efficient.
KEPCO will provide consultation
services to review EVNNPT’s
transmission grid planning and recommend some solutions in order to gain a
higher investment efficiency, ensuring a stability, reliability and sustainable
development of the power transmission grid of Vietnam.
KEPCO will support EVNNPT in formulating technical standards
for equipment for controlling the equipment quality procured in future. This
will be done by technical staff of both sides, in coming time.
Besides, CEO Vu Ngoc Minh and
delegation paid a visit to KEPCO’s Western power grid operation centre to have
a better understanding on on KEPCO’s practical operation of power grid.
Closing the meeting, CEO Vu Ngoc
Minh and Mr. Hidehiko Yukawa confirmed the expectations and determination on
achieving targets and solutions agreed at the soonest time./.
