Implementing the 220kV Thanh Nghi substation project

​​​At 10AM, on 27th of December 2017 at Thanh Liem District, Ha Nam province, the Northern Power Projects Management Board (NPMB) combined with relevant units to organize the implementation of 220kV Thanh Nghi substation.

This is the I class energy project of group B with a total investment cost of over VND 265.5 billion, invested by the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT). NPMB is on behalf of EVNNPT to manage and operate the project. The Consortium of Institute of Energy and Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company 1 is responsible for project design.  The Consortium of Song Da Construction and Service Joint Stock Company and Viet A Industrial Commercial Investment Joint Stock Company and Electricity Construction and Installation Joint Stock Company is is responsible for project implementation (including installation, information testing and SCADA implementation).

Scale of the project: (i) To build new 220kV substation with the capacity of 02 transformers 220/110/22kV is 250MVA. 01 transformer will be installed at this phase. At the 220 kV side, using the diagram with 2 bus bar systems, including the standby position for installing the ring bar.  The project full scale has total 11 bays. At this phase, equipment will be installed for 04 bays; At the 110 kV side, using the diagram of with 2 bus bar systems including ring bar. The project full scale has total 16 bays. At this phase, equipment will be installed for 11 bays. At the 35kV, 25kV side, using outdoor block diagram which supplies power for self-utilization.  

The station is built at Nham Kenh village, Thanh Nghi commune, Thanh Liem district, Ha Nam province.

The 220 kV Thanh Nghi substation is invested to meet the demand of load growth and improve the reliability of power supply for Ha Nam and neighboring provinces, reducing the load for the 220 kV - 110 kV existing power grid in the area.
