Participating in the
seminar includes functional departments of EVNNPT, Power Transmission Company (1, 2, 3, 4), Project Management
Board (North, Central, South), Power Transmission Services (NPTS), Power
Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company (1, 2, 3, 4) and National Load
Dispatching Center (NLDC).
Due to the increasing demand
for power, capacity and number of 220 kV and 500 kV circuits, which require a
better choice of shunt reactors. The application and operation of the shunt is
one of the requirements and concerns of EVNNPT.
At the seminar, Mr. Jan
Weisker, senior specialist in circuit breaker applications from Siemens, gave a
detailed presentation of potential problems in operation of shunt reactor, the
PSD, the ability of the switchgear manufactured by Siemens under the IEC
standard.
Simultaneously with the workshop,
Siemens sent its experts to test, guide, and install PSD relays for use in
resistance breakers at 500 kV Nho Quan substation for EVNNPT engineers.
Overall, all participants
had provided many useful information of the application and operation of shunt
reactor, and the PSD switching device. Hopefully with advanced technology,
product quality and cooperation from Siemens, EVNNPT will improve the operation and reliability of the switchgear
for shunt on Vietnam transmission grid./.
