Facing a growing energy demand and pressure to constantly improve the power system and energy efficiency, while affected by rapid depreciation of transformers and breakers, many asset owners have to implement strategic upgrades and digitalization of their equipment infrastructure.

In order to have a better understanding of the latest monitoring and diagnostics products, National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) cooperated with General Electric (GE) from the UK and Computer-Communication-Control (3CE) to organize a Workshop on GE’s “M&D products: online DGA, CB & GIS Monitoring system” at EVNNPT’s headquarter on May 21st, 2018. The Workshop was chaired by Mr. Vu Ngoc Minh – EVNNPT’s President & CEO.

GE introduced the Workshop participants to the following Monitoring & Diagnostics products: Kelman DGA 900 (Online DGA), CBWatch (CB Monitoring System) and Bwatch (GIS Monitoring System). According to GE’s representatives, these products have many advantages: (i) Kelman DGA 900 is easily configured with built-in touch, integrated security or intuitive graphical interface. This product offers high accuracy in measurement and reliability in operation. (ii) CB Watch 3 enhances asset protection on the grid, reduces and limits CB’s replacements and maintenance; reduces SF6 emissions into the environment; time synchronization and easy usability.
