As planned, EVNNPT’s transmission power productivity will be 114.16 billion kWh in 2013, increased by over 60% in compare with that of the 1st year of its establishment.
Over the last 5 years, the transmission grid has strongly developed in scope, with modern technologies, spreading to most of nation-wide provinces and cities and step by step connected to transmission grid of the regional countries.
The 5 year establishment anniversary of EVNNPT (2008-2013)By end of May 2013, EVNNPT has managed and operated 16,591km of transmission line from 220kV to 500kV and 96 substations of a total capacity of nearly 45,700 MVA.
The successful settlement of 2 important issues on fund and site clearance is a remarkable success by EVNNPT in unfreezing the construction investment.
The energization of 212 projects, in which many urgent projects have been put into operation in time, including projects in synchronization with Son La Hydropower Plant, the receipt of entire 2,400 MW of Son La Hydropower Plant to connect to the national power grid, the completion of projects such as 220kV Buon Kuop – Dak Nong, Dac Nong – Phuoc Long – Binh Long, Van Tri – Soc Son, upgrade of series capacitor for 500kV Da Nang – Thuong Tin transmission line, the protection against overload for Hanoi capital, the improvement of transmission capacity in some areas, etc are considered as a huge investment by EVNNPT.
In coming time, objectives by EVNNPT will be to remain its top priority in ensuring the safe, stable operation of transmission grid, striving for a transmission productivity of 200 billion kWh reached by 2015.
Besides, EVNNPT uncontinuously improves quality of power supply, ensuring the power loss at the positive average rate in the region, minimizing the faults by errors, striving for no occurrence of faults by people.
On the other hand, from now to 2015, EVNNPT will push up progress and amount of construction investment, putting into operation of 350 projects, with a total investment cost of about VND 90,000 billion, as well as ensure a mobilization of almost VND 85,880 billion for investment in transmission grid development in period 2013-2017.
