Participating in the mission, there were Mr. Nguyen Duc Cuong – EVNNPT’s Board Member, leaders of EVNNPT’s departments, Mr. Nguyen Ha Dong - Director of Power Transmission Company 2 (PTC2), Mr. Tran Thanh Phong - Deputy Director of PTC2 , leaders of professional departments and leaders of subordinate units of PTC2.
During 4 days, the mission visited and worked with 11 transmission teams, 7 110-220kV substations and 4 Power transmission branches of Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam - Da Nang, 500kV Da Nang substation. There, Mr. Dang Phan Tuong checked the living and working conditions of the units and listened to reports of the unit leaders about the organization and management, the advantages and disadvantages and the aspirations of employees as well as recommendations of the units.

Since the beginning of the year, the subordinate units of PTC2 have made many efforts to overcome difficulties and ensure stable power supply for production, national security and satisfy the power demands of local people, especially meeting the increased demand for electricity during festival occasions. In the first 4 months, the total net output received was nearly 1.66 billion kwh; the transmission capacity in 500kV transmission grid achieved over 4.11 million; the proportion of power used for transmission accounted for 1.3%/. In terms of transmission line overhaul, the Company undertook repair and maintenance activity, building foundations at 220kV and 500kV transmission line positions. For periodical tests, PTC2 has finished periodical tests at 220 kV Hue, Thanh My, Tam Ky substations and other 110-220 kV feeders at 500 kV Da Nang substation ... In investment and construction activities, the company has started package 4 on installation of a 550kV transformer at 500 kV Thanh My substation, completed stage 1 of energizing 220kV Da Nang- District 3 transmission line; is installing reactors at 500 kV substations, the company has collaborated with Dong Anh power equipment manufacturing company to set up plans on transformers repair for installing in substations as scheduled... Reporting to the Board Chairman and the mission, PTC2 emphasized that the management and operation activities have been well undertook by units, therefore not any failures caused by human to transmission system.

At the meeting, the units took the initiative to put forward many proposals with EVNNPT’s Chairman, which highlight the needs for additional investment and replacement of out-of-date company minibus; devices for checking transmission lines and substation equipment; investment in integrated control technologies in substations; arrangements of suitable works for elderly workers; many backward and old operating headquarters such as Ba Don, Dong Hoi, Da Nang, Giang substation ….. needs to be given with more priority by EVNNPT leaders to upgrade or rebuild to ensure the operation activities of the units.
After listening to the report and recommendations by the units and EVNNPT’s Departments, EVNNPT’s Chairman Mr. Dang Phan Tuong has highly appreciated employees’ efforts to overcome many difficulties to ensure the safe operation of the transmission grid. Regarding the proposals, Chairman Dang Phan Tuong has made analysis and evaluations of each unit’s current operation and management situation, and made strategic direction to constantly strengthen and improve the quality of operational management, at the same time, remind and encourage employees in the unit to promote the accomplishments achieved and overcome all difficulties and to ensure the safe, continuous operation of transmission grid in the area.
