The project "Upgrading the capacity of
500kV Thuong Tin substation" has a total investment cost of over 280
billion Vietnamese dong and the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) is the investor; PTC1 is the one
who operates and manages the project on behalf of EVNNPT; The project was designed by Power Electric Consultancy Company
4 (PECC4); monitor by Power Inspection Design Construction Company 4 (PIDC4); and
Construct by Song Da Construction and services Joint Stock Company. Also, PTC1
also assigned to its units: Material Repair
Workshop, Testing Workshop, Mechanical
Transport Team, Hanoi Power Transmission Branch assign dozens of engineers and
workers regularly available at 500kVThuong Tin substation to continuously
construct, supervise and commission works as soon as the contractor has
completed to catch up the planned schedule.
The project has started on November 25, 2016 includes 2 stages: Stage 1: Replace the existing
AT2 500kV-600MVA transformer by 500kV-900 MVA, supplement and replace suitable equipment
to the new transformer; Stage 2 will be
implemented in 2017 and the second 220kV transformer will be installed
as well as new 220kV, 110kV bays.
This is the project with huge amount of works
while power cut time for construction is so limited and high technical
requirement. There are dozens of engineers and workers from different contractors
of different categories on a narrow construction site, all the contractors have
calculate and coordinate very closely, even have divided into shifts to
construct uninterruptedly almost 24/24 in order to ensure the project progress,
quality as well as the safety. Thereby, after 09 days continuous construction,
the Upgrading the capacity of 500kV Thuong Tin substation has successfully commissioned,
energized one day earlier than planned
schedule.
The early energizing and commissioning of AT2
500kV-900MVA transformer at 500kV Thuong Tin substation will be timely solve
the overload for the station, especially at the end of the year and the
upcoming Lunar New Year; ensuring power supply safety and reliability for the
load of Hanoi city and the surrounding areas; simultaneously increases
stability, safe operation of the grid; reduces power losses of the grid,
contributes to the improvement of business efficiency.
This is the achievement of employees of PTC1 in
particular and EVNNPT in general to celebrate
62 years of Vietnam traditional power sector (21/12/1954 – 22/12/2016). It is
