Energizing and putting the 220kV My Xuan substation into operation

​​At 00h22, on July 29th 2016, at My Xuan 2 industrial zone, Tan Thanh district, Ba Ria- Vung Tau province, Sothern Power Projects Management Board (SPMB) combined with relevant units to organize commissioning and putting the 220kV My Xuan substation into operation.

Overview of 220 kV My Xuan substation

The energizing and putting the 220 kV My Xuan substation into operation will supply stable power, meeting power demand for My Xuan 2 industrial zone, as well as strengthen the connection of 220 kV - 110 kV transmission network in the area, reduce power loss, increase reliability for power system, protect against overload for 220 kV Phu My, Long Thanh substations; meet power demands for the socio-economic development of Ba Ria – Vung Tau province and surrounding area.

This is the energy project of grade 1, group B, with total cost of VND 549 billion invested by National Powwer Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT); SPMB is on behalf of EVNNPT to manage the project, Power Engineering Consultation Company No. 3 (PECC3) is responsible for project design, Power Construction Company No. 1 (PCC1) is responsible for project construction, Power Transmission Company No. 4 (PTC4) is in charge of management and operation after project completion.

The project scope is to construct a 220kV/110kV substation, of a total capacity of 2x250 MVA and the 220kV connected transmission lines.

During the project construction, to meet requirements on secure operation of project, ensuring people’s life, property of State, contributing to a stable power supply to the production and livelihood of Ba Ria – Vung, SPMB mobilized various units and households located in area that 220kV My Xuan substation and connection run through to follow up strictly the Decree No.14/2014/NĐ-CP dated 26th February 2014 by the Government stipulating in detail and guiding the implementation of some articles of Law on Electricity regarding secure protection of high voltage power grid.

SPMB’s leaders and staff have strived to complete project as scheduled in order to celebrate 21st anniversary of establishment of the Southern Power Projects Management Board (01/8/1995-01/8/2016)./.
