Energizing the 500kV transmission line connecting Thang Long Thermal Power Plant

At 23h10, on 31st May 2017, in Le Loi commune,
Hoanh Bo district, Quang Ninh province, the Northern Power Project Management
Board (NPMB) and relevant units energized project “500kV transmission line
connecting Thang Long Thermal Power Plant”, which is ready to supply testing
power to Thang Long Thermal Power Plant.

kV transmission line connecting Thang Long Thermal Power Plant
This is the energy project of group B, with a
total investment cost of VND 158 billion, invested by National Power
Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT).
NPMB is on behalf of EVNNPT to
manage and operate the project. Power Engineering Consultation Company 4
(PECC4) is responsible for project design. Vietnam Joint Stock Power
Construction Corporation is responsible for project implementation, Power
Transmission Company No. 1 takes over the management and operation.
The transmission line includes 2 circuits, with
total length of 4.15 km (including the section connecting from end tower to
substation), beginning point at 500kV Thang Long Thermal Power Plant, the
ending point is at tower No. 15 of existing 500kV Quang Ninh – Pho Noi
transmission line. The transmission line runs through area of 2 communes Le Loi
and Thong Nhat, Hoanh Bo district, Quang Ninh province.
The project construction is to evacuate
capacity from Thang Long Thermal Power Plant to the national power system,
increase the operation efficiency and create a flexibility in national power
system./.
