Ensuring progress of urgent projects supplying power to the South

On May 10th 2013, Mr. Pham Le Thanh – President and CEO of Vietnam Electricity (EVN) – Chairman of Steering Committee on urgent power projects supplying power to the South participated in a mission and hosted a meeting on progress of the critical projects supplying power to the South. ​ ​​

Participating in the mission, there were some leaders of EVNNPT including Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung – President and CEO, Mr. Tran Quoc Lam – Vice President, Mr. Vu Tran Nguyen – Vice President.

After the site visit and directing at site, EVN’s President and CEO – Mr. Pham Le Thanh hosted a Steering Committee’s meeting. Under the exsisting urgent situations , Mr. Pham Le Thanh has directed the subsidiaries to promptly deploy the projects to ensure the progress, timely report any difficulties and challenges so that EVN will provide the solutions. At the same time, he has directed EVN’s Department and subsidiaries to early make recommendations to the competent authorities to settle the difficulties on financial arrangement, compensation and site clearance, so that the critical projects will be completed as scheduled, ensuring the power supply to the South  after 2013.

The list of urgent projects for serving the power supply to the South after 2013 include 29 projects, of which 10 projects aim at capacity building of transmission grid to ensure power supply to the South; 13 projects are in synchronization with the Vinh Tan, Duyen Hai Power Centres; 6 transmission projects to evacuate power from the power centres.
