In
the past, PTC2 has concentrated all
efforts to improve the quality of management and operation, inspection, repair power transmission system to ensure
the power transmission capability and
power supply safety, continuously and reliability
to meet the demand for socio-economic
development of the country, including the Central provinces –Tay Nguyen. After many years of management and operation
of the transmission grid, with united technical management system, PTC2 has
been always ensured sufficient standards, processes and regulations. Many of
which are summarized become important document resources, such as: management,
storage and update the transmission line profiles; Checking and understanding the technical state of conductors,
earth wires, foundations, towers, insulators and accessories of transmission lines
which manages by PTC2; reviewing, synthesizing and handling of right of way violation; testing
temperature joints exposed on 220kV - 500 kV transmission lines to discover
timely and treat the existence, ensuring power supply safety and reliability during the
dry season as well as ensuring flood and storm prevention, ensuring safety for
people and equipment. Besides, program
of transmission lines and substations technical management by computer
software, update decrees, circulars and regulations as well as guiding
documents on PTC2’s website to promote
the effectiveness in operation and management.
In
2012, some faults occurred on transmission lines managed by PTC2 were checking
early, determined correct cause and timely handle to ensure operation. However,
due to the specific of transmission line grid mainly pass complex terrain and
impacted by dry weather and floods, so it frequently encounters problems such
as foundation and tower landslides. Under these circumstances, together with
the implementation of drastic measures to minimize faults by subjectiveness, right
of way violation, equipment failure, this meeting also focused on assessing
causes, experiences learned, thence make preventive plans and technical appropriate
operation solutions. More specific measures are being applied in the company
and initially develops their positive effectiveness: stretching conductor of 500
kV transmission lines, enhancing earth wires to reduce soil resistivity values
in the high mountainous areas, building foundation embankments, drainage
ditches. For the right of way, all units has tested, reviewed, total up violation
or potential violation points; strengthened training and awareness-raising
responsibilities of operation workers in inspection, repair and operation. In
addition, to ensure the safety of power right of way, the company has also
focused on strengthening relationships and coordination with local authorities,
police and social organizations and local people to promote the protection of
power right of way. These to make sure discovering and preventing the risk of
causing faults for transmission lines, focusing on strictly handle right of way
violations, enhancing propagation whole population to involve in protection of power
right of way safety.

Addressing at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Ha Dong -
Director emphasized: 2013 and the following years, all units should initiative
strengthen the prevention of possible trouble situations, promote the exercise for
flood and fire prevention, enhance training, organization troubleshooting
exercise, acquire knowledge of new technologies in transmission line management
and operation. He also underlined responsibility of each staff and workers to
ensure the transmission line operation with the slogan " Safety- Quality- Continuousness-effectiveness"
to contribute to the safety, continuousness of the national power transmission
grid in the current period as well as in the future.
