The
110 kV equipment system at 500 kV Thuong Tin substation
The project energized will be to
exploit capacity of the North Eastern thermal power plants, supply power to the
Southern loads of Hanoi city and surrounding areas; meeting the rapid and
continuous growing loads of Hanoi city last time, contributing to increasing
the stability and secure, reliable operation of Norther power transmission
grid.
This is the energy project of level
1, group B, with total cost of over VND 254 billion invested by National Power Transmission
Corporation (EVNNPT), PTC1 is on behalf of EVNNPT to manage the project, Power
Engineering Consultation Company No. 4 (PECC4) is responsible for project
design, Power Construction Company No. 4 (PCC4) is responsible for project
construction. Participating in the construction includes PTC1’s subsidiaries
such as Power Testing Division, Power Equipment Maintenance and Repair
Division, Hanoi Power Transmission, 500kV Thuong Tin substation.
The project scope is to install a
220kV-250MVA transformer; toward 220kV: 1 transformer bay, 1 transformer
feeder, 1 liaise feeder, 6 out-going bays, 3 spare feeders, the expanded
construction area is 16,594 m2.

The project is divided into 2
phases:
- Phase 1: Completed and energized
in May 2013, with a scope of installing one 220/110/22kV-250MVA transformer
(AT3); installing one 110kV general feeder and two 110kV out-going feeders lead
to 110kV Thuong Tin substation.
- Phase 2: To expand substation area
of over 16,594,000 m2 for 110 kV switch yard; install 8 110kV feeders, 5 of
which will use new primary and secondary equipment, remaining 3 feeders removed
primary equipment installed in phase 1 to the new location. PTC1 has removed 3 feeders
and energized on December 12th 2015; 05 remaining feeders were energized on
August 16th 2016.
Operation
before energizing
The in-time completion of project
was gained thanks to efforts, devotion, responsibility by various units such as
PTC1, 500kV Thuong Tin substation, Hanoi Power Transmission, Equipment
Maintenance and Repair Division, Power Testing Division, Mechanical Transportation
Division, etc… Besides, is was provided with support by local authorities,
Thuong Tin People’s Committee and various Departments under Hanoi city, Hanoi
People’s Committee, which have guided and combined in implementing the site
clearance and compensation for project’s land acquisition. The project
implementation was done in the most severe weather conditions, with safety
ensured for people, equipment, in which Hanoi Power Transmission has
implemented well the assigned tasks: tensioning over 20,000m secondary cable,
installed the out-door and in-door cabinets, installed grounding system for
protection control cabinets, connected secondary equipment for all protection
control circuits, Scada optical cable system, completed connection of nearly 2,000m
AAC-885 conductor, as well as participated in monitoring and combined with
different units such as Testing Division, Equipment Maintenance and Repair
Division, implemented project as required schedule and quality./.
