Mr. Tran Quoc Lam – EVNNPT’s Vice President hosted a meeting on the 500kV Quang Ninh – Mong Duong transmission line project
Participating in the mission, there were representatives of EVNNPT’s Departments, Labour Union and the Norther Power Projects Management Board (NPMB).
After the site visit, the mission worked with the People’s Committee of Cam Pha city regarding the project’s compensation, site clearance in the city area. After listening the difficulties and challenges in the project, leaders of Cam Pha city have confirmed to set out the active measures to coordinate with and support EVNNPT in completing the site clearance in the area, ensuring the project progress.
After that, the mission visited and worked with Mong Duong Thermal Power Project to discuss the coordination in connecting the 500kV Quang Ninh – Mong Duong transmission line to Mong Duong Thermal Power Plant.

Also in the mission’s agenda, EVNNPT’s Labour Union has visited and awarded a gift to the NPMB’s Steering Committee for timely encouraging the staff working at the site.

General information on the 500kV Quang Ninh – Mong Duong transmission line project:
- Project scope:
+ Transmission line: construction of a double circuit TL x 25 km.
+ Feeder: the primary equipment for 2 feeders to Mong Duong and secondary equipment for 4 feeders at 500kV Quang Ninh substation.
- Project objective: in synchronization with Mong Duong Thermal Power Plant.
- Source of fund: Commercial credit fund.
- Started in December 24th 2012
- Scheduled date of commission and put into operation: February 2014.
