The transformer project AT2-220kV- 250 MVA at the 220kV Van Tri substation was invested by EVNNPT and managed by the Northern Power Project Management Board (NPMB) on behalf of the investor. The project has a total investment cost of nearly VND 60 billion which is mobilized from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) fund and EVNNPT’s equity. The construction of project is implemented by the Joint Stock Construction Company No. 4 (PCC4), while the testing and experiment is done by the Power Transmission Company 1.

After a period of high effort construction, the project has been completed, with the technical requirements ensured and the transformer AT2 has been energized and commissioned. Thanks to the successful energization of transformer AT2, the 220kV Van Tri substation has been added with a 250MVA installed capacity, which will contribute to ensuring a stable power supply to Hanoi capital during the peak months of 2013.
