This is the 1st working session between EVNNPT
and FGC UES, which is important for EVNNPT. The meeting was a foundation for
the cooperation in power transmission between the 2 sides.
Warmly receiving the mission at its headquarters
includes Mr. Andrey MUROV – Chairman and 4 Vice Chairmen as well as leaders of
functional departments of FGC UES.
Mr. Andrey MUROV, Vice Chairmen and leaders
of functional Departments introduced its organization model, management scope
and business of FGC UES, as well as provided many important information for
EVNNPT mission.
FGC UES has been equitized, with 80.13% share
belongs to the Government. It í
responsible for management and operation of entire power transmission system of
Russian Federation. At present, FGC UES is managing 931 substations, with total
capacity of 334,501 MVA and 139,100 km of transmission lines from 110 kV to 1,150
kV. Its power transmission loss is 4.5%. Power grid managed by FGC
UES connected with that of 11 countries including some Republic countries
belonged to Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) and surrounding
countries: Finland, China, Mongolia. Regarding power transmission system, FGC
UES is a biggest power transmission utility in the world.
FGC UES is responsible for regulation,
management, operation and investment of power transmission system of Russian
Federation, dividing into 77 areas of total area of 15.1 million km2. Customers
of FGC UES include the regional power distribution companies, power plants and
large industrial zones. FGC UES has 23,899 employees; its total revenue in 2015
was RUB 187,041 million (equivalent to USD 2,568 million) and profits of RUB 44,098
million (equivalent to USD 657 million).
At present, in the power transmission system of
FGC UES, there are some old equipment from USSR period. Annually, FGC UES has
to replace those old equipment and other backward ones to modernize and
synchronize equipment in the system. This is one of contents in the development
strategy in 2015 - 2019 period of FGC UES. Besides, FGC UES is deploying
establishment of remote control centres, while the live working has been
implemented since 1985. At present, FGC UES produce the live working equipment
by themselves for their use and selling to transmission utilities in Europe and
United States.
Chairman Dang Phan Tuong honestly thanked
Chairman Andrey MUROV, leaders and representatives of FGC UES for receiving and
meeting with EVNNPT mission. He assessed that the similar characteristics of
organization structures in FGC UES and EVNNPT will bring in the initial
advantages for the potential cooperation between the 2 sides. To carry out a
vision “Becoming a leading transmission services provider in Asia”, EVNNPT needs
to carry out many solutions including experience learnt and cooperation with
power transmission utilities of other countries.
Chairman Dang Phan Tuong also revealed that EVNNPT
is trying to have a diversification of international cooperation. At present, EVNNPT is
carrying out some proposals to increase production efficiency, including
establishment of remote control centres, unmanned substations; deployment of
live working for transmission lines and substations, which requires experiences
learnt from transmission utilities of other countries.
Mr. Andrey MUROV expressed that they are
willing to provide information and share experiences in management, operation
and investment in power transmission system, the science-technological
activities, application of advanced technologies. FGC UES appreciates the
cooperation for the mutual development and in fact, it cooperates closely with
the big global manufacturers such as GE, ABB, Siemens, Hyundai, …
Remarkably, the mission has gained the initial
achievements in pushing up the cooperation with, not only the traditional
partners, but also the new ones, contributing to diversifying its cooperation,
increasing equipment quality in power transmission system of Vietnam, which
helped in increase of roles and position of EVNNPT in the area and the world,
in the new era and integration./.
