Receiving EVNNPT delegation includes
Mr. Koichi Harazono – Vice Chairman in charge of transmission and distribution
of Solutions and Energy System Company and his colleagues.
Representative for Toshiba, Mr.
Koichi Harazono congratulated EVNNPT delegation for the visit and meeting. He
said that he is very happy about the 2 side cooperation, especially some
projects done by Toshiba Vietnam: providing 900MVA transformer; protection relay;
lightning protection equipment for 2 220kV transmission lines. He hopes that
the Toshiba’s 500kV lightning protection equipment will be applied for EVNNPT
transmission grid. He emphasized that products of Toshiba Vietnam mainly
include automation equipment for substations – this is gived with high
attention by EVNNPT. He expects that EVNNPT continues cooperating and
supporting Toshiba Vietnam. Besides, he informed that Toshiba has established a
factory in India and expect that products made in this factory will be accepted
by EVNNPT.
Responding that, CEO Vu Ngoc Minh
revealed that he satisfies with the close cooperation, frequent exchange,
timely settlement of problems by Toshiba Vietnam. EVNNPT expects that
Toshiba products will be increased, both in quantity and type, in power
transmission grid of Vietnam. CEO Vu Ngoc Minh proposed Toshiba to push up the
cooperation in some aspects: (i) Human resources training; (ii) Study visit and
site visit to Toshiba factories; (iii) considering the reduction of price,
pushing up provision of Toshiba primary equipment for EVNNPT transmission grid
meeting requirements on synchronization with secondary equipment, increasing
reliability; (iv) Timely support to settle problems in transmission operation.
Mr. Minh also expressed EVNNPT
concerns about transmission line failures caused by lightning, in which the
main reason is earthing wire design. He proposes Toshiba to consider supporting
EVNNPT in installing a pilot one in 500kV transmission line in Vietnam.
At conclusion of meeting, the two
side leaders acknowledged that there is a high prospect in cooperation between
EVNNPT and Toshiba. Two sides committed to have a closer coordination to
strengthen and diversify the existing cooperation./.
