A workshop on “Equipment for operation of SF6” by WIKA Alexander Wiegand SE & Co. KG - Germany

​On August 18th 2016, National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) in combination with Representative Office of WIKA Alexander Wiegand SE & Co. KG (Germany) in Vietnam and Mekong Limited Liability Company organized a workshop “Equipment for operation of SF6” at EVNNPT meeting hall.

The workshop was chaired by Mr. Nguyen Minh Thang- Member of Management Board, with participation by representatives of: Vietnam Electricity, Institute of Energy, Power Engineering Consulting Company (PECC2), EVNNPT’s functional Departments, Power Transmission Companies No. 1, 2, 3, 4 and Northern Power Projects Management Board (NPMB).

 
 
 

For WIKA, participation includes Mr. Shawnn Liew – Technical Director, in charge of South East Asia and Mr. Dao Cam Binh – WIKA Head representative in Vietnam.

 
 
 

WIKA Alexander Wiegand SE & Co. KG is a German enterprise, with over 30 year experience in production and development of SF6-related equipment. At present, over 1 million equipment of WIKA are applied in power transmission and distribution in the whole globe. Some products of WIKA have been provided and operated in EVNNPT power transmission grid.

 
 
 

The workshop organized to share information on SF6 and equipment for measuring, analyzing SF6 gas, equipment for recharging and discharging SF6, SF6 van, equipment for measuring SF6 leakage, SF6 meter… as well as providing options in procurement of equipment for power transmission grid.

At the workshop, together with introduction of equipment for SF6 operation, WIKA organized a demotration on equipment for measuring and analyzing SF6, with a SF6 gas container. WIKA focus its presentation on improvement of products quality, aiming at providing high-quality products, which are suitable with EVNNPT’s power transmission grid, ensuring both technical and economic criteria. The participants had long a technical discussion on the presented products. WIKA’s representatives focused on clarifying the questions on operation, maintenance and repair of WIKA equipment.

 
 
 

It was found that the workshop were helpful for participants. It will be basis for both sides to have a closer cooperation in future./.
