Completion of project “Installing the second transformer of the 220kV Tay Ninh substation”

​At 1.05 AM, on 28th of December 2017 at 220kV Tay Ninh (Ninh Thanh ward, Tay Ninh city, Tay Ninh province), the Southern Power Project Management Board (SPMB) coordinated with relevant agencies to organize the energizing of 220kV-250MVA transformer at Tay Ninh 220 kV substation, completing the project "Installing the second transformer of the 220 kV Tay Ninh substation", upgrading the total capacity of the substation to 2x250MVA.

The energizing of the 220kV-250MVA transformer atTay Ninh 220kV substation will enhance power supply, meeting the power demand for socio-economic development of Tay Ninh province and neighboring areas; It also meets the N-1 criteria and links 220/110kV power grid in the area. It reduces power losses, improves the stability and reliability of the power system, and increases the efficiency of the general business of the power sector.

Scale of works: Install 01 transformer 220/110 / 22kV - 250MVA; installation of a total 110 kV and 220 kV 110 circuit breaker and the addition of controls, protective relays for the new MBA.

​Scale of the project: Installing 01 of 220/110/22kV - 250MVA transformer; installing equipment for 01 110 kV and 220 kV general bay and adding controls, protection relays for the new transformer.

The project has a total investment cost of over VND 76 billion, invested by the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT). SPMB is on behalf of EVNNPT to manage and operate the project. The Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company 3 is responsible for project design.  The limited liability company with one member of Electricity Construction and Installation 2 is responsible for project implementation. The Power Transmission Company 4 is responsible for taking over, management and operation./.
