Implementing the 220kV Thap Cham substation project (Transformer 2)

​In morning 31st July 2017, Central Power Projects Management Board (CPMB) combined with relevant units to organize a Ground Breaking ceremony for 220kV Thap Cham substation (transformer 2) project at Ba Thap village, Bac Phong commune, Thuan Bac district, Ninh Thuan province.

​Participation in the meeting includes Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tho - Deputy Director of CPMB, representatives of implementing unit - Power Construction Company 2 (PCC2), representatives of monitoring consulting company and Power Transmission Company No. 3 (PTC3) and some relevant units.

Ground Breaking ceremony of the 220kV Thap Cham substation (Transformer 2)​

The 220kV Thap Cham substation project (transformer 2) has a total investment cost of VND 74.06 billion, mobilized from commercial credit and equity of National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT). The project is invested by EVNNPT, CPMB is on behalf of EVNNPT to manage the project.

The construction investment of project is to protect against overload for a 220kV-125MVA transformer at 220kV Thap Cham substation; ensure a secure operation, increase reliability of power system to meet power load of Ninh Thuan province; reduce power loss, contributing to increasing the power production and business efficiency of EVN and EVNNPT.

Scope of project: (i) Installing the 2nd AT2 220kV-125MVA transformer and feeders 220 kV, 110 kV and 22 kV; (ii) Installing 02 feeders 110kV; (iii) Supplementing, completing the measurement, protection control system and other relevant system .

Location of project: At spare area inside the existing 220kV Thap Cham substation in Ba THap village, Bac Phong commune, Thuan Bac district, Ninh Thuan province.

After the ground breaking ceremony, CPMB focused on instructing, managing, combining with the relevant units to organize the implementation, with a target of energizing project in December 2017 as scheduled, ensuring a secure operation, increase the reliability to meet the power load of Ninh Thuan province./.​
