Meeting
of the Project Commissioning Council
The 220
kV Phu Lam – Hoc Mon transmission line is managed by Ho Chi Minh transmission
branch (a subsidiary of PTC4). This is the core transmission line route
creating a ring-circuit connection with Phu My Power Centre (Phu My – Cat Lai-
Thu Duc – Hoc Mon- Phu Lam and Phu My – Nha Be – Phu Lam). The transmission
line is constructed and put into operation from 1985, which supplies power to
Ho Chi Minh city. The total length of the route is about 17.5 km, run thorugh
area of district No. 12, Binh Tan and Hoc Mon district of Ho Chi Minh city.
In order to ensure the safety distance of the
transmission line and strengthen transmission capacity, ensure power supply to
Ho Chi Minh city, it is improved from 1 circuit to 2 circuits.
The project “Improving 220kV Phu Lam – Hoc Mon
transmission line from 1 circuit into 2 circuits” is invested by National Power
Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT), Power Engineering Consultation Company No. 2
(PECC2) is responsible for project design. The Power Construction Company No. 2
and Power Construction Company No. 1 Joint Venture Company and Thai Duong Power
Construction Company are responsible for project implementation. PTC4 is on
behalf of EVNNPT to manage project and will take over the operation after its
completion.
The project has a total investment cost of VND 426.52
billion, implemented into 2 phases. In Phase 1, implementation is done from
220kV Binh Tan substation to the 220kV Hoc Mon substation; In phase 2,
implementation is from 220kV Phu Lam substation to 220kV Binh Tan substation.
The scope of phase 1 includes 2 parts:
2-circuit transmission line, 220kV voltage level, of 9km length from connection
tower No. 54 (mix connection of 220kV and 110kV of the 220 kV Cau Bong – Hoc Mon
– Binh Tan transmission line to the existing connection tower No. 25 of the 220
kV Phu Lam – Hoc Mon transmission line; the underground cable include 1
new-constructed circuit and 1 existing circuit , at 220 kV voltage level, with
a 783 m length from tower location No. 43 to tower location 44 of the 220 kV Cau
Bong – Binh Tan transmission line. Because the 220 kV Hoc Mon – Binh Tan
transmission line is not connected to the 220 kV Hoc Mon substation, but
connected directly to 500 kV Cau Bo substation, so the phase 1 project
completion will energized the 220kV Cau Bong – Binh Tan transmission line route.

The
2-circuit 220kv Cau Bong – Binh Tan (Hoc Mon – Binh Tan) transmission line
The project implementation is done, with power
cut-off in the whole route in order to carry out the unloading, recovering the
existing transmission line, and the construction of foundations, tower
erection, conductor tension is new-constructed in a 17.5km length of existing
right of way run through communes, wards
of 3 districts, which require the synchrony in policies and progress of ground
clearance are very high./.
