Energizing and putting into operation the AT1 220kV-250MVA transformer at 220 kV Binh Long substation

At 01h15, on 12th June 2017, at 220kV Binh Long
substation (in Thanh Tuan village, Thanh Luong commune, Binh Long town, Binh
Phuoc province, Power Transmission Company No. 4 (PTC4) and relevant units
organized commissioning, energizing the AT1 220kV-250MVA transformer,
increasing the substation’s capacity from (1x125 + 1x125) MVA to (1x125 +
1x250) MVA.

The energizing and putting into operation AT1
transformer will strengthen reliability and transmission capacity of 110kV
transmission grid in Binh Phuoc province, which is in accordance with the
provincial power development plan, meeting the growing load demands of Binh
Long, Loc Ninh, Dong Phu and Dong Xoai towns, contributing to increasing
production efficiency of EVNNPT.
Project “Upgrading capacity of 220kV Binh Long”,
with total cost of VND 51 billion invested by EVNNPT. PTC4 is on behalf of EVNNPT
to manage the project and manage the operation of project after its completion.
Power Engineering Consultation Company No. 3 (PECC3) is responsible for project
design. Song Lam Investment and Construction Joint Stock company is responsible
for project implementation.
The scope of project: Replacing the existing AT1
220kV-125MVA transformer at 220 kV Binh Long substation by a 220kV-250MVA one; improvement
of foundation, replacing and supplementing some equipment to make suitable to
the new transformer./.
