Power Transmission Company No.2: Energizing and putting into operation the 220 ​​kV Da Nang - District 3 power transmission line

This is a power transmission line of particular importance to the socio-economic development of Danang City, which is included in series of projects: 220kV Ngu Hanh Son substation and 220kV Danang – District 3 transmission line with total investment of VND 300 billion. These projects are implemented in 3 phases, but this is the most difficult phase because the line is passing Con Dau - a sandy area in the South of the city with complicated residential life. Also this is a category of projects in planning and urban improving program of Danang City on the basis of the old 110 kV power transmission line which has been degraded, occurred many breakdowns and unreliable quality for operation. Therefore, People's Committee of  Da Nang City had many meetings, issued many documents and gave loan with goal of completing the first phase of the project in June 2013. On 20 December 2012, this project was started by Power Transmission Company No.2.

 

 

There were many  difficulties during the implementation because Con Dau is an area of alluvial soil and swamp with crowded and complicated population and the compensation for inhabitants still have not been resolved. In addition, many details of technical design have been supplemented and corrected since the real foundation was not suitable with the designed foundation prepared in May 2011. According to that, Power Transmission Company No.2 has to change towers’ location and height of foundation in order to ensure the technical element and aesthetics for the project. Power Transmission Company No. 2 with high determination and close monitoring of project management division removed and resolved every obstacles quickly and timely. Power Transmission Company No.2 also received the supports and concerns of People's Committee of Danang City, along with the dedication of units: construction team, Quang Nam - Danang Power Transmission, Construction Investment Dept. and project’s executing staffs during the construction. The first phase of the project has been energized on 30 May 2013 and put into operation on 31 May 2013.

 

 

This event represents the effort and determination of  Power Transmission Company No.2 and stakeholders in running ahead of time and deploying fast, contributing to the development of the City and helping Danang deservedly  becomes a key economic region of the Central.
