On 23rd July 2014, in EVNNPT 
headquarters, a leader-level meeting between EVNNPT and Alstom Grid was 
held. The meeting was chaired by EVNNPT’s Chairman of Management Board 
Dang Phan Tuong. Participating in the meeting, EVNNPT side includes Mr. 
Nguyen Duc Cuong – Member of Management Board, Mr. Vu Ngoc Minh – Vice 
President, together with leaders and staff from the functional 
Departments: International Cooperation, Planning, Investment Management,
 Technical, Finance and Accounting, Materials and representatives of 
Northern Power Projects Management Board. For Alstom Grid, Mr. Frederic 
Salon – Vice President, East Asia and Pacific Region and some project

This is a leader-level meeting between
 the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) and Alstom Grid. 
The meeting is organized to review, assess and push up the steps in 
implementation of contracts signed by the two parties, in which Alstom 
Grid provided the primary and secondary equipment and EVNNPT implement 
the transmission investment projects.
At the meeting, Alstom Grid’s 
leader express expectation on listening comments by EVNNPT on the 
advantages and disadvantages in implementation of contracts so that they
 can draw experiences and make better improvement in implementation of 
contracts in future. 
EVNNPT’s Chairman Dang Phan Tuong highly 
appreciated that Alstom Grid has provided the missing equipment and 
settled the problems and failures for the provided equipment. He also 
emphasized that some equipment should be further monitored and requested
 Alstom Grid to assign experts to come to Vietnam for settling the 
technical outstanding.
For Alstom Grid side, Mr. Frederic Salon 
shared a plan on restructure of Alstom Grid in the near future. However,
 this will be the institutional restructure, with the new name, but the 
existing human resources will be remained, with additional people from 
United States’ GE Energy. He express an expectation of closer 
cooperation with EVNNPT in future. He confirmed to agree upon EVNNPT’s 
proposals and committed to deploy early these proposals, contributing to
 completion of project as scheduled by EVNNPT./.
