The 500kV Duyen Hai – My Tho transmission line project started

The 500kV Duyen Hai – My Tho transmission line runs through provinces of Tra Vinh, Vinh Long, Ben Tre and Tien Giang. The project includes of two 500kV circuits, with a length of 113,235 km, total investment of VND 3000 billion.
On June 30th 2014, the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) organized a ground-breaking ceremony of the 500kV Duyen Hai – My Tho transmission line project. Participation in the ceremony was representatives of EVNNPT leaders including Mr. Dang Phan Tuong – Chairman of Management Board, Mr. Luu Minh Tuan – Member of Management Board, Mr. Tran Quoc Lam – Vice President.
The 500kV Duyen Hai – My Tho transmission line project was assigned by EVNNPT to the Southern Power Projects Management Boardx (SPMB) for management. The objectives of project are to: connect and transmit capacity of Duyen Hai Power Centre into the national power system; supply power to the Southern critical economic zone and increase the transmission capacity, meet the load demands of Southern provinces, create a stable, reliable connection among power centres and load centres.
The 500kV Duyen Hai – My Tho transmission line runs through provinces of Vinh Long, Tra Vinh, Ben Tre and Tien Giang. The project includes of two 500kV circuits, with a length of 113,235 km, total investment of VND 3000 billion. The project’s installation includes of 5 packages, to be implemented by 5 different contractors: Vietnam Power Construction Joint Stock Company; Power Engineering Consultation Company No. 1; Power Construction Company No. 2; Power Construction Company No. 4; Joint venture Song Da 11 and Song Da 11 Thang Long Company.
According to plan, the project will be completed and energized by quarter III/2016, to be in synchronization with Unit 1 of Duyen Hai III Thermo-Hydropower Plant.
