On December 21st
2014, PTC2 completed the 220kV Kon Tum – Pleiku transmission line of a 35.6km
length connecting the 500kV Pleiku substation to the 220kV Kon Tum substation –
completing the project phase 1
The 220kV Kon Tum substation put
into operation will receive and evacuate power capacity from hydropower plants
in Kon Tum province into national power system, contributing to the secure,
continuous, stable power supply foar serving the socio-economic development demands
and ensuring the national defense and security of Western Highland provinces.
The 220kV Kon Tum substation
has a capacity of 2 x 250MVA. The project phase 1 is to install 01 transformer
at 250 MVA, many other equipment such as 220 - 110 - 22kV bus bar feeder, circuit
breaker, switch gear, current transformer, voltage transformer, surge arrester,
lighning protection system, SCADA, optical fuse, fire fighting and prevention
system, 110kV branches, etc. The sustation is constructed in the area of 70,000
m2 in Thanh Trung village, Vinh Quang commune, Kon Tum city, Kon Tum
province.
The project 220kV Kon Tum substation
and connection has a total investment cost of VND 450 billion. It is invested
by EVNNPT. PTC2 is on behalf of EVNNPT to manage the project and it operation
after the project completion.
