Especially, the Company has received and transmitted many sources of generated power in the area, such as Yaly, Ba Ha river, Se San 3, 4, Buon Kuop, Dong Nai 3, 4, Da Nhim…which play an important role in the national power system.
Besides, the Company has also paid attention to investment in upgrade, modernization of equipment, renovation of technologies to step by step become owner of the advanced equipment, independently repair SF6 500kV circuit breaker and install a vertical capacitor in the 500kV Pleiku and DakNong substations; increase capacity of 500kV substations and upgrade capacity of vertical capacitor for the 500kV Pleiku-Phu Lam transmission line. On the other hand, PTC3 has directly implemented many power transmission projects from 0.4kV to 500kV voltage levels, ensuring the progress, quality and effectiveness, contributing to complete the transmission grid in Central and Western areas, as well as increase the stability of the national power system and evacuate entire power generated by the hydropower plants in the region, strengthen power supply to Southern area.
For the 500kV transmission line alone, the Company has a success in finding the reasons for failures, replacing thousands of meters of broken optical light arresters by self-produced devices and modern machines; finding out and timely settling tens of tower foundations collapsed by stormy rains, using Kema towers for failures settlement and improvement of power grid.
Besides, the Company has successfully studied and applied a Scientific Research topic “Clearing of on-line 500kV and 220kV transmission line and transformer isolators by pressurised water”. Therefore, the average transmission capacity increased by 12 – 17%/year, auxiliary needs and transmission losses reduced by 0.08%, in average. Especially, the faults by operating personel have been avoided, fault rate reduced in comparision with the planed one”, Mr. Phong emphasized.
At present, PTC3 manages over 2,300km of transmission line, including 762km 500kV transmission line and 1,572km 220kV transmission line, total capacity of substation is up to nearly 4.400 MVA.
