EVNNPT’s President and CEO Vu Ngoc Minh meets General Director of GE Vietnam

On March 22nd 2016, at National
Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT),
President and CEO Vu Ngoc Minh chaired a meeting with General Director of GE Vietnam
– Mr. Pham Hong Son. Participation in the meeting, EVNNPT includes leaders of functional departments: Planning,
Technical, International Relations, Organization and Human Resources,
Information Technologies; GE Vietnam include Mr. Pham Hong Son General Director
and representatives from Departments: Customer Services and Market Development.
This is the 1st time Mr. Pham Hong
Son had a meeting with EVNNPT since
his new position as General Director of GE Vietnam. He was happy to inform EVNNPT that the integration of 2 companies
- GE Energy and Alstom Grid was completed in November 2015. In the new position
- General Director of GE Vietnam, Mr. Pham Hong Son expressed to maintain the
existing good relationship between EVNNPT
and GE, further develop the cooperation activities in the coming years. He
expressed that GE should continue participating in the new investment projects
of EVNNPT, committed to implement
well the contracts signed with EVNNPT.
President and CEO Vu Ngoc Minh congratulated
the new General Director of GE Vietnam. He informed that GE’s equipment are of
good quality, however GE should consider the price reduction and a quicker
duration of delivery, which are conditions for GE to compete with other
providers. Especially, he emphasized that GE should push up the delivery time
in the contract signed for Pleiku 2 substation project so that the project can
be completed as scheduled, especially in the current conditions when it is very
dry in Cetral and Southern areas, power generation is slow in Southern area,
power transmission from the North to the South increases.
President and CEO Vu Ngoc Minh required
GE Vietnam to share and updated information on new technologies. Mr. Pham Hong
Son informed that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed by GE and
EVN and request by Mr. Vu Ngoc Minh was within cooperation framework of that
MoU. The meeting between the 2 leaders was not long, but effective, promising a
closer cooperation in the future between 2 sides./.
