EVNNPT: SUCCESSFULLY ENERGIZED THE SERIES CAPACITOR BANKS IN THE 500kV HA TINH SUBSTATION

 

               

Mr. Tran Quoc Lam – EVNNPT’s Vice President hosted the meeting of Council on commissioning and energizing the project.

 

The project on “Upgrade of series capacitor for the 500kV Nho Quan – Ha Tinh T/L” has a total investment of over VND 386 billion, with a work scope of: installing and replacing 04 existing series capacitor banks at 500 kV 23Ω-1000A by 04 series capacitor banks at 500 kV-29Ω-2000A. As planned, 02 series capacitor banks and protection control system are installed in the 500kV Ha Tinh, in phase 1, while in phase 2, 02 series capacitor banks and protection control system are installed in the 500kV Nho Quan substation, which are expected to be completed by March 2014.

The project is invested by EVNNPT, under management, installation and test by Power Transmission Company No. 1. Power Engineering Consultation Company No. 1 (PECC 1) is responsible for project technical design, PECC4 is responsible for monitoring the project implementation, GE is the equipment provider.

The successfully energizing series capacitor banks at 500kV Ha Tinh substation has an important role, contributing to the step- by- step completion of project on “upgrade of series capacitor for the 500kV Nho Quan – Ha Tinh T/L” –one of important project aiming at increasing the transmission capacity of the 500kV North – South T/L, increasing the stability and secure operation of the national power system.
