Signing a credit contract financing VND 1,045 billion for transmission line projects

In afternoon 9th September 2013, at headquater of Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV), a Contract Signing Ceremony among National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT), Vietnam Electricity (EVN) and BIDV financing 3 transmission line projects amounted at VND 1,045 billion.
Participating in the ceremomy, there were Mr. Ho Duc Phuoc – Provincial Party Committee Secretary of Nghe An province, leaders of EVN, EVNNPT and BIDV.
Mr. Vu Tran Nguyen – EVNNPT’s Vice President and Mr. Ngo Duy chinh – Director of Ha Thanh BIDV branch signed a Credit Contract for the 220kV Bao Thang substation (S/S)
The signed Credit Contract will finance for 3 projects including 220kV Bao Thang substation (VND 259.4 billion), the 500kV/220kV substation of Duyen Hai Power centre (VND 495 billion) and the 220kV Duyen Hai – Tra Vinh transmission line (VND 290 billion). These are the urgent projects which have been approved by the Prime Minister at document No. 203/TTg-KTN dated 31st January 2013.
The 220kV Bao Thang S/S project is an important project in the Master Plan No. 7, aiming at transfering capacity of the hydropower plants in Lao Cai area into power system in rainy season and supplying power to Bao Thang industrial zone and surrounding areas of Lao Cai province in dry season. Together with the 500kV Duyen Hai – My Tho T/L and 220kV Duyen Hai – Mo Cay T/L, the 500/220 kV Duyen Hai S/S and 220 kV Duyen Hai - Tra Vinh T/L project is to receive, transfer capacity from Duyen Hai Power Centre into the National power system, in synchronization with Duyen Hai Power Plant No. 1, 2. 3, increase reliability and stability of Southern power grid and entire power system, supply power to the South-Western areas and surrounding load centres.
Mr. Vu Tran Nguyen – EVNNPT’s Vice President and Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Linh – Director of Ho Chi Minh BIDV Branch signed a Credit Contract financing for the 500/220 kV Duyen Hai S/S and the 220kV Duyen Hai – Tra Vinh T/L project
The signing of Credit Contract for these projects is very important for EVNNPT to complete the projects in schedule, contributing to complete the master planning for Duyen Hai Power centre – a national critical project approved by Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) at Decision No. 2427/QD-BCT dated on 11th May 2012.
