Energizing and putting into operation the 220kV-250MVA AT2 transformer at 220kV Ben Tre substation

​​​At 20h15 on May 29th 2016 at Son Dong commune, Ben Tre city, Ben Tre province, Power Transmission Company No. 4 (PTC4) energized and put into operation the 220kV-250MVA AT2 transformer at ​220kV Ben Tre substation  completing the project on “Upgrade capacity of 220kV Ben Tre substation”.

The energizing and putting into operation the AT2 transformer at 220 kV Ben Tre substation will meet the demand on load growth and socio-economic development of Ben Tre province and surrounding areas.

The project “Upgrade capacity of 220kV Ben Tre substation” has a scope of: replacing the existing AT2 220kV-125MVA transformer at 220 kV Ben Tre substation by 220kV-250MVA transformer, increasing capacity from 250 MVA (2x125) to 375 MVA (1x125 + 1x250); improvement of foundation, replacement and supplement equipment to be suitable to the new transformer.

The project has a total cost of VND 58 billion invested by the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT), managed by PTC4. Besides, the project has participation by Power Engineering Consulting Company No. 3 (PECC3), Power Joint-Stock Company, Lap Khang Construction, Commercial and Service Join Stock Company, Tan Lap Fire Protection Commercial and Installation Company, Power Testing Factory under PTC4 and the Western Power Transmission No. 2./.
