At 14h52 on July 11th 2016, at the
500kV Vinh Tam substation (in Vinh Tan commune, Tuy Phong district, Binh THuan
province), Southern Power Projects Management Board- SPMB) organized
commissioning the project “connecting Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant to the
national power system”, which is to supply power to turbine No. 1 of Vinh Tan 4
Thermal Power Plant.
The project has a total cost of
nearly VND 100 billion invested by the National Power Transmission Corporation
(EVNNPT), SPMB is on behalf of EVNNPT manages the project, Power
Engineering Consultation Company No. 2 (PECC2) is responsible for project
design, Song Da 11 Thang Long One member limited liability Company is
responsible for project implementation, Power Transmission Company No. 3 will
take over the project management and operation after its completion.
The scope of project: New
construction of the 500kV double circuit transmission line of 1,293m connecting
Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant to the 500kV Vinh Tan substation and expansion
of 500 kV feeder at the 500 kV Vinh Tan substation. The connection line section
is constructed in Vinh Tan Power Centre, Vinh Tan commune, Tuy Phong district,
Binh Thuan province; the expansion of 500kV feeder is done in the existing
500kV Vinh Tan substation.
The project is to evacuate power
capacity of Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant and the expanded one to the national
power system; together with the other 500kV transmission line in the region
(Vinh Tan – Song May, Vinh Tan- Song May- Tan Uyen) evacuate capacity of power
plants in Vinh Tan Power Centre to the load centre in Ho Chi Minh city and
South Eastern area; it also creates a 500kV linkage among regions in power
system in order to ensure a safe, stable operation, increase reliability in
power supply and reduce power loss of the whole system./.
