The 500 kV Phu My – Song May transmission line: has been energized and put into operation successfully

At 21h35 on September 30th 2013, the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) energized successfully and put into operation the 500kV Phu My – Song May transmission line (T/L) which timely supply power to the Southern provinces during the power cut-off of the 500kV North-South T/L (circuit 1 and circuit 2), clear the right-of-way for serving the construction of the 500kV Pleiku – My Phuoc – Cau Bong T/L.

The 500kV Phu My – Song May T/L runs through 5 districts of Dogn Nai province, including Long Thanh, Cam My, Thong Nhat, Trang Bom, Vinh Cuu and Tan Thanh district of Ba Ria Vung Tau province. This is a double circuit T/L, of a length of 66km, with a total of 159 tower locations. It plays an important role in providing a secure, stable, continuous power to the Southern provinces in dry season of 2014, firstly to serve the power cut-off of the 500kV North-South transmission line in order to carry out the implementation of the 500kV Pleiku – My Phuoc – Cau Bong T/L project.
The 500kV Phu My – Song May T/L project has a total investment of over VND 665 billion which is mobilized from World Bank (WB), Vietnam Development Bank (VDB) and EVNNPT.
