Energizing the 2nd 220kV transformer at 220kV Bao Thang substation

At 20h45 on July 26th 2018, at
Phu Nhuan commune, Bao Thang district, Lao Cai province, the Northern Power
Projects Management Board (NPMB) combined with relevant units have energized
the 220/110/22kV-250MVA transformer, completing project “Installing the 2nd 220
kV transformer at 220kV Bao Thang substation”.

The completion of project will
contribute to provide a secure and stable power supply to load centre of Lao
Cai province, strengthen the reliability and transmission of the national power
transmission grid.
This is under project “Installing
the 2nd transformer at 220kV substations of Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang, Bao Thang”.
This is the Level 1, Group B
energy project, with total cost of over VND 199.3 billion invested by National
Power Transmission Corporation. The project management is done by NPMB on
behalf of EVNNPT, project design is
done by Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company (PECC1); Van Thach
Limited Liabilities Company is responsible for project implementation; Power
Transmission Company No. 1 takes over the manavement and operation when the
project is completed.
Scope of project: Installing a 3
phase 220/110/22 kV – 250 MVA autotransformer in the 220kV Bao Thang substation,
increasing total capacity of substation to 2x250MVA; installing equipment to
one 220kV feeder, one 110kV feeder, surge arrester and an outdoor 22kV power
transformer for the new installed tranformer./.
