500/220 kV Hiep Hoa – Dong
Anh – Bac Ninh 2
This is
a special-category project, part of Group A projects with total investment of
1,769 billion VND by National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT), who authorized NPMB as the
operator and manager of the project before it’s handed down to Power
Transmission Company 1 (PTC1) upon completion.
This
project involves the construction of one 500 kV circuit combined with two 220
kV circuits in the same towner line, two branches to the 220 kV Dong Anh, Long
Bien substation (each branch comprises of four 220 kV circuits) with a total
length of 48.4 km and feeder expansion of the 500 kV Hiep Hoa substation.
This
transmission line encompasses Hiep Hoa district – Bac Giang province; Soc Son,
Dong Anh, Gia Lam Districts, Long Bien Distric in Hanoi and Yen Phong, Tien Du Districts as well as Tu Son village in Bac Ninh
province.
The
completion of the two line segments listed above marks the completion of the
entire 500/220 kV Hiep Hoa – Dong Anh – Bac Ninh 2 transmission line project
and all projects under the same group in North Eastern Hanoi: 500/220 kV Hiep
Hoa – Dong Anh – Bac Ninh 2 transmission line project, 500 kV Hiep Hoa
substation project, 500/220 kV Dong Anh substation project, 500 kV Pho Noi
subproject, 500/220 kV Bac Ninh 2- Pho Noi transmission line project and 220 kV
Bac Ninh 3, Long Bien and Bac Ninh 2 substation projects.
This project
would ensure power supply for critical economic regions in the Norther plain,
meet the growing demand for power at North Eastern parts of Hanoi, Bac Ninh
province and other nearby provinces, support effective operation and
utilization of the Northern power system.
