The
completion of above-mentioned project has contributed to ensuring a secure and
uninterrupted power supply to the regional loads, which contributes to
receiving and evacuating the power capacity from Southern Hau river to the
loads of Ho Chi Minh city and Southern East area; strengthening the connection
and power improvement among the areas of regional power grid, reducing a power
loss of the system, protect against overload for the 220 kV Cai Lay - Cao Lanh
- Thot Not transmission line and the existing 220kV power grid in the region.
This is
the energy project of Level 1, with a total cost of over VND 858 billion
invested by the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT); SPMB was
responsible for project coordination and management; Power Engineering
Consultation Company 3 (PECC 3) was responsibile for project design; the Power
Construction Company 4 (PCC4) was responsible for the implementation of section
from 220kV Cai Lay substation to G6 location; Joint Stock Installation and
Power Construction - Installation Company was responsible for the
implementation of section from G6 location to the 220kV Cao Lanh substation;
Power Transmission Company 4 (PTC4) takes over the operation of project.
Scope of
project: (i) Transmission line section: a new construction of a 220 kV double
circuit transmission line of a 50.8 km length using the existing 220 kV Cai Lay
- Cao Lanh right of way (from Cai Lay to location 142) and unload, recover of
the overlaped section of the existing 220 kV Cai Lay - Cao Lanh transmission
line; new construction of 220kV double circuit transmission line of about 6.15
km length in the new right of way; (ii) Feeder section: Replacement of
devices, equipment, supplement of optical information system of 220kV feeders
at the 220 kV Cai Lay and 220 kV Cao Lanh substations for matching with the
newly constructed 220kV Cai Lay - Cao Lanh transmission line.
The
constructed transmission line runs through Cai Lay, Cai Be districts of Tien
Giang province and Cao Lanh district of Dong Thap province, with a total line
length of about 56.95km./.
