The AT2 500/220/35kV-450MVA tranformer at the 500 kV Lai Chau
substation
The energizing and putting into
operation the 500kV Lai Chau substation and branch will evacuate capacity of
the hydropower plants in Lai Chau and Son La provinces into the national power
system; strengthen the power system connection of Lai Chau province with the
national power system; reduce the general loss of the system, strengthen the
reliability, stability and security of the entire power system.
The project has a total cost of VND
777 billion invested by the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT); CPMB is on behalf of EVNNPT to manage the project; Power
Engineering Consultation Company 4 (PECC4) is responsible for project design; Electricity
Testing and Research Centre (ETRC) is responsible for testing and calibrating; Power Construction
Company No. 4 (PCC4) is responsible for project implementation; Joint Ventrure
EVN International and Power Engineering Consultation Company No 1 (PECC1) take
the responsibility of monitoring and consultation; Power Transmission Company
No. 1 (PTC1) takes over the management and operation after project completed.
Scope of project: (i) New
construction of a out-door 500kV Lai Chau substation, with 02
500/220/35kV-450MVA transformers and other 02 220/110/22kV-250MVA transformers.
In the first phase, installing one 500/220/35kV-450MVA and one
220/110/22kV-250MVA transformer, 02 feeders at 500kV, 02 feeders at 220 kV, 06 feeders
at 110 kV, the overall feeder at 500 kV, 220 kV, 110 kV and 22 kV, the coupler
circuit breakers, transfered circuit breakers at 220 kV, 110 kV and spare space
for installing feeders in future; (ii) Constructing a double circuit 500kV
transmission line section, of a length of 1,547 m connecting from the 500 kV
Lai Chau substation to the 500 kV Son La – Lai Chau transmission line.
