The 500 kV Duyen Hai Thermal –
My Tho transmission line energizing will connect, receive and evacuate capacity
of Duyen Hai Thermal Power Centre to the national power system; exchange power
energy with the large power sources to be constructed in the area and increase
the stability, reliability for power system; ensure a qualified, uninterrupted
power supply for the socio-economic development of the South-Western provinces
and surrounding areas.
The 500kV Duyen Hai Thermal Power
Plant – My Tho transmission line is a double circuit one of 113km length,
connecting the switchyard of 500kV Duyen Hai Thermal Power Centre to 500kV My
Tho substation. The transmission line route has 241 tower locations run through
area of 44 communes, towns, 12 districts of 4 provinces of Tra Vinh, Ben Tre,
Vinh Long and Tien Giang. Over 5,000 households are affected, totally 1,427
houses and architectures have to be removed from the right of way; Totally,
144,914m2 land area are permanently acquired by the project, and 674,847m2 land
area affected by the right of way.
Total investment
cost of project is VND 4,359 billion VND invested by EVNNPT. SPMB manages the
project on behalf of EVNNPT; Power Engineering Consultation Company (PECC2) is
responsible for project design; Project implementation contractors include Song
Da 11 Joint Stock company and Song Da 11 Thang Long one-member liability
company , Vietnam Electricity Construction Corporation, Power Construction
Company 4 (PCC4), Power Construction Company No. 1 (PCC1), Power Construction
Company No. 2 (PCC2). Power Transmission Company 4 (PTC4) takes over the
project operation.
The project commissioning has been
done according to the current regulations, the gained results have met requirements
on quality, ensuring the environment hygiene standards.

energizing are gained thanks to the efforts and determination by SPMB’s staff
and support by the relevant units./.
