Energizing and putting the 220kV Thai Binh – Kim Dong transmission line into operation

​​​At 06h30, on April 4th 2016, the 220kV Thai Binh – Kim Dong transmission line was energized by a Commissioning Council of National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT), which completes the 220kV Thai Binh – Kim Dong transmission line project.

This is the 1st level energy project, of group B, with a total cost of nearly VND 524 billion, invested by National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT). On behalf of EVNNPT, the Northern Power Projects Management Board (NPMB) manages the project; Institution of Energy is responsible for project design; the implementation units include: Power Construction Company No.4 (PCC4), Thai Binh Duong and Licogi 16 Joint-venture stock company, Power Construction Company No. 1 (PCC1).

Scope of project: new construction of the double circuit  220kV transmission line, with a total length of 46.2km run through the districts of Kim Dong, An Thi, Phu Cu of Hung Yen province and districts of Hung Ha, Dong Hung of Thai Binh province.

The completed 220kV Thai Binh – Kim Dong transmission line combined with the previously completed projects such as 220kV Kim Dong substation, the 220kV Thai Binh – Thai Binh Thermal Power Plant and extension of feeders at the 220kV Thai Binh have ensured the power demands and strengthened the reliabilities in power supply to Hung Yen province. The project also contributes to power supply for the loads of Thai Binh and Nam Dinh province and be ready for evacuation of capacity from Thai Binh Thermal Power Plants to the National power system./.
