Completion of project “Upgrade capacity of 220kV Nam Dinh substation

​​At 07h45 on June 10th 2016, in 220kV Nam Dinh substation, Power Transmission Company No. 1 combined with the relevant units organized commissioning and putting into operation of the 220kV-250MVA AT2 transformer completing the project “upgrade capacity of 220kV Nam Dinh substation from 125+250MVA to 2x250MVA.

The energizing and putting into operation of the 220kV-250MVA AT2 transformer are not only to increase capacity for the 220kV Nam Dinh substation, meeting demand on power load growth and socio-economic development of Nam Dinh province and surrounding areas, but also ensure a secure, stable operation of power transmission system for serving the socio-economic development, national defense in the region.

The project “upgrade capacity of 220kV Nam Dinh substation from 125+250MVA to 2x250MVA” has a total cost of over VND 85 billion invested by National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT); PTC1 is responsible for managing the project, Power Engineering Consultation Company 3 (PECC3) is responsible for project design; Power Construction Company 1 – Dai Mo (PCC1 –Dai Mo) is responsible for construction, the units under PTC1 are responsible for installation of primary, secondary equipment, testing, including Power Testing Division, Power Equipment Maintenance Division, Ninh Binh Power Transmission and Mechanical Transportation Division.

The main scope of project: to replace the existing 220kV-125MVA AT2 transformer by a 220kV-250MVA transformer; to supplement, replace and install the relevant equipment for the new transformer./.
