Shunt reactor 500 kV - 128 MVAr at 500 kV Cau Bong substation
This is one of the six shunts of the project
"Equipment for shunt reactor on 500 kV grid" which was invested by
the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) with the scale of six shunts 500 kV - 128 MVAr and related
equipment connecting to the 500 kV bar system at six 500 kV Cau Bong substations,
Song May, Di Linh, Dak Nong, Pleiku 2 and Vung Ang.
On March 22nd, 2018, April 18th,
2018, April 27th, 2018 and May 13th, 2018, PTC3 took the
acceptance test, successfully energized shunt reactor 500 kV - 128 MVAr which
under the project at 500 kV Di Linh, Pleiku 2, Dak Nong and Vung Ang substations.
After successful energizing the shunt reactor KH593,
500 kV Cau Bong substation has brought efficiency to the project, the busbar
voltage at 500 kV substation of Bong Bong always keep stable in operating voltage
range.
The project efficiency will increase flexibility in
adjusting the electrical system voltage in general and the 500 kV grid in the
South in particular; enhancing the ability to operate safely, stable and
reliable, contributing to reduce losses on power transmission grids; increasing
transmission capacity on 500 kV lines and ensuring quality of power for the
country's economic and social development.
With the success of this energization, the project
contributes to emulate achievement of Celebrating the 128th birthday of
President Ho Chi Minh and the 10th anniversary of the National Power
Transmission Corporation (1/7/2008 - 1/7/2018).
