The 500 kV - 128 MVAr reactor at 500 kV Vung Ang substation
This is one of 6 shunt reactors in
project “Equiping shunt reactors in the 500kV transmission grid” invested by National
Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT)
with a scale of six 500 kV - 128 MVAr reactors and related equipment connecting
to the 500 kV bus bar system at six 500 kV substations: Cau Bong, Song May, Di
Linh, Dak Nong, Pleiku 2 and Vung Ang.
After successful energizing, the
KH591 shunt reactor of 500 kV Vung Ang substation has brought into full play
the efficiency of project, the busbar voltage at 500 kV Vung Ang substation
always remains stable in the operating voltage range.
The project efficiency will
increase flexibility in voltage adjustment of power system in general and the
500 kV grid in particular; enhancing the ability in a safe, stable and reliable
operation, contributing to reducing losses on power transmission grid;
increasing transmission capacity on the 500 kV transmission line sections and ensuring
quality of power for the country's economic and social development.
The success energization of project
has contributed to the emulation to achievement of celebrating the 128th
birthday of President Ho Chi Minh and the 10th anniversary of the establishment
of National Power Transmission Corporation (1/7/2008 - 1/7/2018) in PTC3.
Before this event, on 22nd March
2018, 25th April 2018 and 27th April 2018, the 500kV- 128 MVAr shunt reactors
were energized in the 500kV substations of Di Linh, Pleiku 2 and Dak Nong by
PTC3./.
