Energizing and putting into operation of 220kV-250MVA AT2 transformer at the 220kV Cao Lanh substation

on June 17th 2016, at An Dinh village, An Binh commune, Cao Lanh district, Dong
Thap province. Power Transmission Company No. 4 (PTC4) combined with relevant
units to organize energizing and putting into operation the 220kV-250MVA AT2
transformer at the 220kV Cao Lanh substation, completing project “Replacing the
transformer of 220kV Cao Lanh substation”, which is 11 days ahead the planned
schedule.

The energization of AT2 transformer
at the 220kV Cao Lanh substation will meet the demand on load growth and
socio-economic development of Dong Thap province in coming years.
The project “Replace transformer at
the 220kV Cao Lanh substation” has a total cost of VND 112 billion invested by
National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT). PTC4 is on behalf of EVNNPT
to manage the project, with participation by Southern Load Dispatch Centre
(SLDC), Power Engineering Consultation Company No. 3 (PECC3), Dong Anh Power
Equipment Joint Stock Company, Lap Khang Construction, Commercial and Services
company, Thang Long one-member limited liability company, Energy and
multi-option transportation Joint Stock Company.
The main scope of project: to
replace the existing 220kV-125MVA AT2 transformer at the 220 kV Cao Lanh
substation by a 220-250MVA transformer (upgrade capacity of 220 kV Cao Lanh
substation to 2x250MVA); improve foundation, replace and supplement equipment
to be in consistent with the new transformer./.
