Energizing and putting into operation of the 220kV-250MVA AT1 transformer at 220kV Vinh Yen substation

At 20h15 dated October 2nd 2016, at the 220kV Vinh Yen substation (North Western Transmission), the 220kV-250MVA AT1 transformer was energized and put into operation by Power Transmission Company No. 1 (PTC1) combined with relevant units, completing the project on “Upgrade capacity of the 220kV Vinh Yen substation”.

The 220kV-250MVA AT1 transformer of 220kV Vinh Yen substation energized and put into operation will ensure a secure and uninterrupted power supply to Vinh Phuc province and surrounding areas, meeting the growing load demands of Vinh Phuc province, ensuring the n-1 requirement in power supply.

The main scope of project is to replace the existing 220kV-125MVA AT1 transformer by a 220kV-250MVA transformer; supplement, replace, install the relevant equipment to be suitable with the new transformer.

The project has a total cost of over VND 46 billion invested by the National Power Transmission Corporation; PTC1 is on behalf of EVNNPT to manage the project; Institute of Energy (IE) is responsible for project design; Van Thach Limited Liability Company is responsible for project construction. Participation in construction includes units under PTC1: Power Testing Division, Equipment Testing and Repair Division, 220kV Vinh Yen substation./.​
