The 220 kV – 250 MVA transformer is ready for
energizing
The 220
kV Hoa Khanh substation (in North Hoa Khanh ward, Cam Le district, Da Nang city)
was put into operation in 1999, initially it has 2 110 kV – 25 MVA transformers
and 2 220 kV – 125 MVA transformers. Recently, 220kV Hoa Khanh substation often
operates in full- and over-load situations.
In order
to ensure a power supply to the loads, especially a continuous power supply to
Hoa Khanh industrial zone, EVNNPT has
invested over VND 53.4 billion and assigned PTC2 to implement project “Upgrade
capacity of 220kV Hoa Khanh substation”. The project design is done by Power
Construction Joint Stock Company 5; construction is done by Testing and Repair
Division; Da Nang Power Transmission is responsible for monitoring, supervision
and takes over its operation.
Scope of
project: Replacing the existing 220 kV – 125 MVA transformer by a 220 kV – 250
MVA transformer manufactured by Dong Anh Electrical Equipment Manufacturing
Company (EEMC); replacing, improving, adding and installing the relevant
equipment to make suitable with the new transformer.
With the
current growth speed of loads in Hoa Khanh Industrial Zone and the region, the
completion of project “upgrade capacity the 220kV transformer in 220kV Hoa
Khanh substation” is very important and necessary.
The
project completion will help to increase the substation capacity from 300MVA to
425 MVA and contribute to increasing transmission capacity, meeting sufficient
power for socio-economic development in the region in general and in Hoa Khanh
industrial zone in particular. The project implementation is in accordance with
the power development plan of Da Nang city from now to year 2020./.
