Ground breaking in 2nd circuit 220kV Dong Ha –
Hue transmission line project
The 2nd
circuit 220kV Dong Hoi – Dong Ha transmission line project has a total
investment cost of VND 450.957 billion, while the 2nd circuit 220kV Dong Ha –
Hue transmission line project has a total cost of VND 598.460 billion,
mobilized from domestic commercial banks and EVNNPT’s equity. The two projects are invested by EVNNPT, CPMB is on behalf of EVNNPT to manage the projects.
After
the ground breaking ceremony, CPMB focused on guiding, managing, coordinating
closely with relevant units to organize implementation in order to complete and
energize projects as scheduled, meeting timely the load development demands,
strengthening the on-site power supply to Hue, Quang Tri and surrounding areas,
increasing mobilization of power supply to the South to the year 2020 and
completing 220kV grid connection in the area, ensuring a secure, uninterrupt
power supply in power system.
Basic information on projects:
2nd circuit 220kV Dong Hoi – Dong Ha
transmission line project is constructed to contribute to evacuate
capacity of Vung Ang 1 Hydropower Plant when 500kV power grid failures occur
connecting to the 500/220kV Vung Ang substation, strengthening power
transmission of 220kV transmission network, increasing capacity mobilized for
the South to year 2020, increasing reliability in power supply and avoiding
overload in regional power grid, which is in accordance with the National Power
Development Plan in 2011-2020 period, with consideration to year 2030 approved
by the Government at Decision No. 1208/QĐ-TTg dated July 21st 2011.
- The
project has a total investment cost of VND 450.957 billion, with a scope: (i) New
construction of 2nd circuit 220kV Dong Hoi – Dong Ha transmission line, with a
total length of 107.98 km; (ii) New construction of 1 220kV feeder at 220kV
Dong Hoi substation.
- Construction location: The 2nd circuit 220kV
Dong Hoi – Dong Ha transmission line route located in Dong Hoi city, Quang
Ninh, Le Thuy districts of Quang Binh province; Vinh Linh, Gio Linh, Cam Lo
district, Dong Ha city, Trieu Phong of Quang Tri province.
2nd circuit 220kV Dong Ha – Hue transmission
line is constructed to strengthen the on-site power supply to Hue, Quang
Tri and surrounding areas, creating a 220kV double circuit axis along Central
coastal areas linking all Central provinces from Vung Ang thermal power centre
of Ha Tinh province to Central South area (Thap Cham – Ninh Thuan) to increase
the North-Central transmission capacity, completing the regional 220kV grid
connection, strengthening the linkage, supporting capacity among regions,
reducing power loss in system, protecting overload for the existing 220kV Dong
Hoi – Dong Ha – Hue transmission line when it is in normal operation,
especially when failures occur, ensuring a secure, uninterrupted power supply
to the regional loads in all situations, including failures occur, which need
to mobilize high transmission capacity between the North Central area and South
Central area.
The project has a total investment cost of VND
598.460 billion, with a scope: (i) New construction of a 220kV double circuit
transmission line, of a total length of 78.2 km from existing 220kV Dong Ha
substation to existing 220kV Hue substation; (ii) Improving the connection
diagram in existing 220kV side at 220kV Dong Ha substation, equipping 2
transmission line feeders (1 for Hue and 1 for Dong Hoi), 01 communication
feeder and loop circuit breaker; (iii) Expanding land area and 220kV bus bars
at 220kV Hue substation, installing 1 transmission line feeder for Dong Ha and
2 spare feeders.
Location: the 2nd circuit 220kV Dong Ha – Hue
transmission line route is constructed in districts of Trieu Phong, Hai Lang
and Quang Tri town of Quang Tri province; Phong Dien district, Huong Tra town,
, Huong Thuy town and Hue city of Thua Thien Hue province.
