Implementing project “the 220kV Phuoc An switching substation”

​On October 17th 2016, at Dai Hoi village, Phuoc An commune, Tuy Phuoc district, Binh Dinh province, a breaking ceremony of project “the 220kV Phuoc An switching substation” was held by the Central Power Projects Management Board (CPMB) and relevant units.

​​The project has a total investment cost of VND 162.72 billion, taken from World Bank (WB) loan and equity of National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT). The project is invested by EVNNPT, CPMB is on behalf of EVNNPT to manage the project.

The project is constructed to connecting the 220kV transmission lines in Binh Dinh province in order to create a linkage of power transmission grid in the area. In future, it will be updated to a substation to meet the load growth demands and socio-economic development in Binh Dinh province.

The scope of project: To construct a 220kV switching substation, with a land spared for upgrading to a 220/110/22kV substation of 2x250MVA capacity. In this phase, a 220kV switching substation is constructed, with a 220kV distribution system of 4 feeders, 11 spare feeders; construction of 2 sections of 220kV transmission line of about 830m (475m and 355m) connecting to the 220kV An Khe-Quy Nhon transmission line (circuit 2); construction of 22kV transmission line 1 circuit of a 4,163 m length to supply power for its auxiliary purpose.

After the breaking celebration, CPMB focused on guiding, managing and cooperating with relevant units to organize the project implementation, aiming at commissioning and energizing project as scheduled, ensuring the requirement on connecting the 220kV transmission lines in Binh Dinh province in order to strengthen the regional linkage./.
