Other agencies such as Da Nang Development Bank, Department of Industry and Trade of Kon Tum province, Electric Power Trading Company (EPTC), Central Power Company (CPC), Central Load Dispatch Centre (CLDC), Power Transmission Company No. 3 (PTC3), Central High Voltage Power Company, Power Engineering Consultation Company (PECC2) also participated in the signing ceremony.

Mr. Nguyen Ha Dong –Party Committee’s Secretary, Director of PTC2 and Mr. Tran Cong Tan – Director of Ban Viet Bank – Da Nang Branch signed the credit contract.
Project “220kV Kom Tum substation and connection” has been approved by the Prime Minister based on the list of urgent generation and transmission projects in 2013, which have been granted by People’s Committee of Kon Tum province with a certificate on investment. Over VND 621 billion has been invested by EVNNPT from its equity and loan. The loan includes VND 38.9 billion from Development Bank, VND 300 billion from Ban Viet Joint-Stock Commercial Bank. The technical design and consultation of project is assigned by EVNNPT to PECC2, the project management and operation management is assigned to PTC2.
This is an important project, with ground clearance started by PTC2 from September 2013. Up to now, 50% of work amount has been completed. The project will be started by November 2013. As planned, the 220kV connection transmission line will be completed by end 2014, whereas the 220kV Kon Tm substation and 220kV feeder expansion in 500kV Pkeiku substation will be completed by middle 2015.

Mr. Dang Phan Tuong – Party Committee’s Secretary, Chairman of Management Board of EVNNPT made a speech at the signing ceremony.
After completion, the 220kV Kon Tum substation will receive all generation capacity from hydropower plants: Pleikrong: 110 MW, Dak Psi 4: 30 MW, Dak Pone 1: 14 MW, Dak Psi 2B: 14 MW, Dak Psi 5: 10 MW, Po E: 12 MW to transfer to the national power grid through 220kV Pleiku-Kon Tum transmission line. The project contributes to the 220- 500kV transmission grid in Western Highland, connecting 500kV power grid from Laos to Vietnam through the 500kV Hatxan-Pleiku transmission line, contributing to the push up of ASEAN power grid connection. In addition, the project is to increase the reliability of power supply to ethnic minority people and socio-economic development of Kon Tum province, stably supply power to the whole area.

Project scope:
- The 220kV Kon Tum substation: Installed capacity of 2 transformers at 220/110kV voltage level, of a capacity of 125 MVA. (1 transformer at 220/110kV voltage level, of a capacity of 125 MVA in 1st phase)
- The 220kV Pleiku- Kon Tum transmission line: the transmission line is a double circuit, of a length of 35,67km. At the 500kV Pleiku substation: extension of two 220kV feeders, upgrade of sections of 110kV transmission line.
